Closing postponed

Tuesday, April 29th, 2008

Well the housing story has hit another snag. We were scheduled to close tomorrow, but it has been delayed. This house was built in the middle of two small lots. This is great cause we’ve got one of the biggest lots in the neighborhood, which will be great when we sell someday. However, there is a 5 ft utility easement on the side and rear of every lot. This means the utility easement runs right down the middle of the home. We’ll see how it goes!

Two weeks ago we went to St. Augustine, Florida for a pre-baby/early 1st anniversary trip. Our real anniversary isn’t until August 4th but Baby Duso will be around 3 weeks old by then. We had a fabulous time. Lots of walking, seeing the sites and great food. I was fat and happy.

House Madness

Scott and I have been house hunting since mid January. We’ve been through many ups and downs through this process. It’s been a crazy time to do this while working and preparing for a child.  After looking at more than 50 houses in person and 100s online we are actually close to closing on one of them next week. We both can’t wait to have it over with. So if all goes well hopefully we’ll move in the second week of May. Then I’ll finally be able to buy baby stuff since I currently have no where to put anything in our one bedroom apartment.

Baby registry

Many of you have been asking if we’re registered anywhere. Well, I finally got to it this week. It’s been a busy couple months! Anyhow, if you feel inclined check it out at www.myregistry.com. Just search for either Sarah or Scott Dussault. Please don’t feel obligated to get us anything. But what I would love is any advice you have on products that are must haves or a total waste of money.

Finally I am closer to the end than the beginning. I still feel really good. No big complaints. Her kicks are more elaborate which make it hard to sleep at first, but it’s nice for her to say hello. Scott and I only have one more birthing class to attend so we’re feeling much more prepared for the big event than we did at first. We’ve seen so many up close and personal videos that the shock value is gone…at least for him. ;) We still plan go to natural if all goes well.
