Bek

My mom spent the first 12 days of Rebekah’s life with us. It was wonderful to have her here. This is actually the most time we’ve spent together since I’ve moved away to college 10 years ago.

 When I saw her hold Rebekah she looked just like what I remember when I saw her holding my younger siblings.

 Mom spoiled us rotten. She cooked every meal, did the dishes, bought diapers & food, taught me about caring for an infant, eased my first-time mom nerves and spent lots of time bonding with her granddaughter.

I was incredibly sad to say goodbye to her on Tuesday. Having my mom around after giving birth was a precious time for me. We’ve always been very close. I hope to have that same relationship with Rebekah as she grows up. Thank you Mom.  

Buying a house has turned out to be a lot of work. Thankfully, we have friends around to help us through it. This past weekend was cleaning and fix ups. This coming weekend will be the heavy lifting. Here are a few photos from the lunch break.
